HEADLINES29/06/08 - ASHINGDON MAINTAIN PROMOTION PUSH WITH WIN OVER THE BOTTOM SIDE: Ashingdon beat Bentley III's by 4 wickets to stay in second place in Division 5 as the season reaches the half way point. Nathan De Bond and Sean Du Plessis took all six Bentley wickets between them. Bentley, however, posted a good score of 193. Ashingdon set off in fine pursuit with an opening stand between Mick Maddocks and Alan Myles of 71. Mick eventually went on to score his first half century of the season. This platform allowed Ashingdon to get to their target with 4 wickets to spare. Top team, Little Baddow II gained a win over Lowly Rayleigh II's to keep the lead. The top two are now being pursued by Springfield III who also won with victory over Hullbridge. The top three now have a small gap between them and the rest of the division. Table now updated. Division 5 League Records now available....
