28/10/09 - POSTAL STRIKE - UPDATED ITEM

Postal Workers are in the middle of a second wave of strike action. Once again, the League will show leniency to result cards that arrive late to the records secretary for dates of the 26th and 27th October.

I would like to thank all those who have posted by hand to my house which has allowed prompt updates to the league tables. Remember that you can leave me your results over the feedback form or leave a message on my answer phone.

22/10/09 - WHERE ARE THE AGGREGATES?

Having been asked this question on Tuesday, and for those who haven't found them yet, I thought I'd let you know. I have put the individual aggregates this season in with the general statistics under the 'statistics' button. As the season builds, I intend to add some more stats to what is there already. Tony Stafford has also given me access to previous seasons stats which will help build even more. Keep checking back to the stats area as this will grow...

15/10/09 - PRINTER FRIENDLY TABLES

You will notice a hyperlink has appeared on the league tables page. This is to allow you to print out a league table from this website in a 'printer friendly' method. The table will appear as a black and white image and is clearer to read once printed.

Thank you to Dave Mitchell (Oakwood) for this suggestion.

02/10/09 - MARKING BYES ON SCORECARDS

If a team turns out with less than eight players, their opponents will receive byes for those games. The captain who team benefits from this situation will get to choose which player(s) receive the bye(s). Once chosen, these players should be written at the bottom of the scorecard with the word 'BYE in the other column and 2-0 recorded in the score panel. The captain's will then commence with the draw of the remaining games, marking them down as usual on the scorecard.

NOTE: If a player is recorded on the scoresheet as receiving a bye, the 2-0 bye WILL NOT count towards the Divisional Aggregates.

04/09/09 - TEAM PAGES

Can all teams check their team page on this web site. I have copied the names from the player application forms and this has been hit and miss. If there are mistakes or player omissions, please inform me by using the feedback form (click the button on the left).

02/10/09 - UPDATE: Please note that, officially, the player registration should be sent to the League Secretary in the first instance. If names do not appear on this website or in my records but do so on the scorecards, I will verify with the League Secretary at the time. If the player was officially unsigned when played, RULE 25 applies (see rules).

I would like to especially thank Tony Stafford for his pioneering efforts with the original site.
